Pavilion Design
In ARCH 201: "Architectural Design and Representation II" the final project for the class was to create a design that had four separate spaces, and focused on a couple of key elements of our choice. An important aspect of this project is that we were not tasked to design a building, but instead an overall space that felt unified. The key elements that I focused on for this design were circulation through the space, and how natural light illuminated the space at different points in the day. The circulation of this design focuses on the descending and ascending between the different spaces. This makes the design more dynamic and less linear. The different walls and cutouts cause the illumination from sunlight to change drastically throughout the day. This allows the experience of the space to be different depending on the time of day and further contributes to the designs dynamic nature.

I started the process for this design by physically modeling different concepts using clay and other materials. This allowed my to physically see me my design before I continued to work on it. After I finished my physical model, I modeled the design in Rhino 6. I then used that model with a combination of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand drawing to complete my various final elements, and then organized those elements into a final project board in Adobe InDesign.
