About Me

Short sleeve.jpg

I am originally from a very small town in Colorado called Fairplay. I graduated from high school there in 2018, and then moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington the next fall. Growing up in a small community, and then moving to a large city really allowed me to form a unique perspective of the world and shaped the person I am today. These communities are drastically different and experiencing that allowed me to understand how diverse the world is and the importance of that.

Additionally, this journey has shaped my view on the Built Environment and given me a unique perspective to study it from. My interest in the Built Environment originates from my an early age. Throughout my entire life, my dad has worked as a Carpenter so I exposed to the Built Environment early on. It was always something that I thought about, but it wasn't until I got to the University of Washington that I was sure I wanted to pursue it as a career. Moving from that small community to a big city really expanded my view of the Built Environment, and that is when I knew I wanted to pursue it.
